How We Pack Your Equipment
Every machine we ship goes through a 5-step packing process before it leaves our factory:
Step 1: Final Testing & Cleaning
Before packing, every machine runs for at least 30 minutes in our testing room. We check motor temperature, noise level, vibration, and all moving parts. Then we clean the machine thoroughly — no metal shavings, no grease marks, no leftover packaging material inside. We also apply a thin layer of anti-rust oil to all bare metal surfaces that might be exposed during shipping.
Step 2: Protective Wrapping
The machine is first wrapped in stretch film to keep moisture out. Then we add foam padding to all corners, protruding parts (like conveyor belts, handles, control panels), and fragile components. The control panel gets extra protection — a layer of cardboard plus foam. For machines with glass doors (like proofers and ovens), we add a full plywood sheet over the glass area.
Step 3: Wooden Crate
All machines are packed in solid wooden crates, not just pallets. The crate is made of 15mm plywood with 40×40mm wooden frame reinforcement. The bottom has forklift slots so you can move it with a forklift or pallet jack. We use ISPM-15 certified heat-treated wood so it passes customs inspection in every country without fumigation issues.
Step 4: Labeling & Documentation
Each crate has labels on at least 3 sides showing: machine name, model, gross weight, net weight, dimensions, "This Side Up" arrows, "Fragile" warnings, and our company name. We also include a packing list inside the crate showing exactly what's in the box — machine, accessories, spare parts, manual, and tools. A copy of the packing list is also emailed to you before shipping.
Step 5: Container Loading
When we load the container, heaviest machines go at the bottom and front (near the container doors for easier unloading). Lighter items and accessories go on top or in gaps. Every crate is secured to the container floor with nylon straps and wooden bracing so nothing shifts during the 20-40 day ocean voyage. We take photos of every step — testing, packing, crating, and container loading — and send them to you before the ship sails.

When Your Equipment Arrives: What to Do First
1. Inspect Before Signing
This is the most important step. Before you sign the delivery receipt from the shipping company, inspect every crate for visible damage. Look for: crushed corners, broken wood, water stains, oil leaks, or anything that looks like the crate was dropped. If you see damage, take photos immediately and note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing. If you sign without noting damage, it becomes very difficult to file an insurance claim later.
2. Check the Packing List
Open each crate and compare the contents against the packing list we provided. Check that all accessories are there: power cords, water hoses, exhaust pipes, spare parts kit, tools, and the user manual. If anything is missing, contact us within 7 days of delivery — we'll ship the missing items by express courier at our cost.
3. Remove Anti-Rust Oil
All bare metal surfaces are coated with anti-rust oil for shipping. Before using the machine, wipe all surfaces with a clean cloth and food-grade sanitizer. Pay special attention to food-contact surfaces: dough bowls, conveyor belts, dividing chambers, rounding drums. Run the machine empty for 5 minutes after cleaning to make sure no oil residue gets into your dough.
Installation: Step-by-Step
Step 1: Choose the Right Location
Before you move the machine into place, make sure the location meets these requirements:
- Floor: Flat, level, and able to support the machine weight. A dough divider rounder weighs 480kg — that's about 4 people standing on one spot. Weak floors can crack or sag.
- Space: Leave at least 60cm on all sides for operation, cleaning, and maintenance. Leave 100cm behind machines that need rear access (like ovens and proofers).
- Power: The electrical outlet must be within 2 meters of the machine. Check that your voltage matches the machine rating (220V or 380V). For 380V machines, you need 3-phase power — this is the #1 mistake customers make.
- Water: Machines with water injection (some mixers and proofers) need a water supply within 1 meter.
- Ventilation: Ovens and proofers generate heat — make sure the room has good ventilation or an exhaust hood.
Step 2: Move the Machine Safely
Never try to lift a bakery machine by hand — even a "small" tabletop machine weighs 80kg. Use a forklift, pallet jack, or heavy-duty dolly. If you don't have a forklift, you can use metal rollers (pipes) under the crate to slide it into place. Make sure at least 2 people are guiding the machine while moving it. Never tilt a machine more than 15 degrees — oil can leak from the gearbox into the motor, causing damage.
Step 3: Level the Machine
Once the machine is in position, use a spirit level to check that it's perfectly level front-to-back and left-to-right. All our machines have adjustable feet — turn them to level the machine. An unlevel machine causes: uneven dough division, excessive vibration, noise, premature bearing wear, and in severe cases, the machine can "walk" across the floor during operation. Take 5 minutes to level it properly — it saves you months of problems.
Step 4: Electrical Connection
This is where most problems happen. Follow these rules:
- Hire a licensed electrician. Don't wire the machine yourself unless you know what you're doing. A wrong connection can burn out the motor or cause a fire.
- Check the voltage. Use a multimeter to verify the outlet voltage matches the machine nameplate (220V or 380V). If your voltage is too high or too low by more than 10%, the motor will overheat and burn out.
- Check the phase. For 3-phase (380V) machines, check the phase rotation. If it's wrong, the motor runs backwards — the machine won't work properly and can be damaged. To fix it, swap any two of the three power wires.
- Use the right wire gauge. A 1.6kW machine needs at least 2.5mm² wire. A 18kW oven needs at least 10mm² wire. Undersized wires overheat and can cause fires.
- Install a circuit breaker. Each machine should have its own breaker. Don't plug multiple machines into one outlet — the voltage drop will cause problems.
- Ground the machine. The grounding wire is not optional. It protects you from electric shock if there's a short circuit. All our machines have a grounding terminal clearly marked.
Step 5: First Run & Testing
Before you put dough in the machine, run it empty for 10-15 minutes:
- Turn on the power and check that the control panel lights up.
- Start the motor and listen for unusual noises (grinding, knocking, squealing). A normal machine makes a steady hum — anything else means a problem.
- Check that all moving parts are moving in the correct direction (conveyor belts, mixing hooks, dividing pistons).
- Feel the motor housing after 5 minutes — it should be warm but not too hot to touch. If you can't keep your hand on it for more than 3 seconds, the motor is overheating. Stop immediately and check the voltage and phase rotation.
- Check for oil leaks around the gearbox and seals.
- After 15 minutes of empty running, the machine is ready for a test with dough.
